Temple
The Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple is a major project for Kyathanahally. All people who currently reside in Kyathanahally have migrated from the neighbouring village, named Bylahally. Eight years back, a Ramamandira was built in Kyathanahally to facilitate various functions, and specifically for Ramothsava, a 3-day annual cultural and classical festival. As Lord Lakshmi Janardhana was the presiding deity over Kyathanahally, the village did not have a temple for itself. Hence the project to build the Prasanna Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple.
The Panchamukhi form of Lord Hanuman is said to possess the power of all gods. The temple will have a wide arena, a 5.5 ft high deity with 4 faces facing the 4 directions, and a Tamil Nadu style mukhamandapam. The project has the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Srimadabhinava Vageesha Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Swamy, the pontiff of the Parakala Mutt, Mysore and is in progress under His guidance. Panchamukhi Hanuman - a special article
In Kaliyuga, the most respected and prayed upon God is Tirupati's Lord Srinivasa. After Lord Srinivasa, the god who is respected by all caste, creed, sect and religion and liked by all people is Lord Anjaneya or Hanuman. It is told that only with Bhakti and singing of Lord's verses, it is possible to get moksha in kaliyuga. Lord Anjaneya is the one who won the heart of Lord Rama with only bhajans and sankeerthanams.
In Srivaishnava Sampradaya, Lord Anjaneya is called "Chikkapada" and Lord Garuda is called "Dodda Pada". In Kaliyuga, the root of all problems is our sins and our previous births' wrongdoings. Depending on all the sins that we have committed and our janma kundali, poverty, diseases, accidents and bad things happen and seen. If Shanideva sits on 7th or 8th position on our zodiac, the troubles that human beings undergo cannot be described with words. Not only these, troubles in education, troubles in family, diseases, etc are other kinds of troubles that we experience.
Not only these, troubles arising from others - asuya, mata, mantras, pishaca and brahmarakshasas too affect Humans. According to shastras, it is possible to find a solution to all of these problems. For problems concerning pishaca, mata and all diseases, Lord Narasimha's aradhana is essential. For Land disputes and related problems, prayers to Lord Varaha deva should be given. For children's education, for all kinds of knowledge, Lord Hayagreeva should be sought. Biting by snakes, Nagadosha's, cure from vishajantus and destruction of enemy, Garuda should be sought. Problems concerning Navagraha phala, and Shanideva, Lord Hanuman's puja is highly essential.
All these pujas should be performed according to Shastras at appropriate times. But is it possible to offer these pujas in this super-fast world? is the question that arises to all and sundry.
For solution to all the problems portrayed above and to get the anugraha of all gods, mantra shastra give a solution to pray to Maruthi's Panchamukhi (Pancha — five; mukhi — face) form. Panchamukhi Hanuman's vishvaroopa possesses the power of all gods and just by giving our anjali to this form, all our sins will be completely forgiven and forgotten. Sri Ramayana, Sri Mahabharatha and granthas of our Purvacharyas speak of Hanuman's 5 power-packed form. Hanuman is also called mukhyaprana and he is the protector of all the pranas in our body.
Panchamukhi Hanuman also gives us Knowledge, Strength, courage, excitement, zeal, determination, encouragement, devotion and mantrashakti to us. All these qualities are embedded into this god.
With Vedas, Shastras and Mantrashastras as ground and for the betterment of devotees and of society, in the village of Kyathanahally, where numerous Ramayana parayanas have taken place, with devotees' request and recommendation from our acharyas, Virad Panchamukhi Hanuman temple is being constructed in Kyathanahally.
